Can you freeze a sourdough starter? Yes. You can freeze a sourdough starter but make sure to transfer it into a ziploc bag first. DO NOT FREEZE IN GLASS or the glass could break in your freezer. Also make sure to transfer it back to a glass jar after removing from the freezer when it unfreezes, and defrost fully before feeding by leaving on the counter for a few hours.
