PAPA ZA’S KITCHEN
Five spice powder is a combination of spices that you will never forget, used sparingly it will add an immense flavour profile. It goes great with braised pork belly, especially when you put it on a pizza. Most definitely a distinct flavour that will make you want more.
Just remember to use a coffee or spice grinder dedicated to spices or your coffee might have a whole new spice blend. You can also use all ground spices and skip the coffee grinder step. Either way you will end up with a great five spice powder.

Servings: 0.25 cup
- COFFEE OR SPICE GRINDER
- 1 tbsp Star anise (4 whole)
- 1 tbsp Cinnamon (2 sticks)
- 1 tbsp Fennel seeds
- 1 tbsp Peppercorns
- 1 tsp Cloves (8 whole)
- We recommended to use a grinder devoted to spices because the five spice powder will leave the flavor in the grinder.
- Add all ingredients to a coffee grinder and grind to a fine powder. Alternatively you can use pre-ground spices.
