One of the best breakfasts you can make with a sourdough starter is this Sourdough Waffle Recipe. These delicious little golden brown grids hold the melted butter and maple syrup so perfectly you don’t even have to dip. You just slice, slide and eat, then repeat! And repeat as much as you want! You can bang out 4 amazingly tasty sourdough waffles with this recipe.

Equipment

  • WAFFLE MAKER

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Sourdough starter active
  • 1 cup Flour
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • 2 tsp Baking powder
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup Milk
  • ¼ cup Butter melted
  • ½ tsp Salt

Instructions

  • In large bowl, add dry ingredients and mix well. Add wet ingredients, mx until smooth.
  • Preheat waffle maker to med-high.
  • Add ½ cup waffle batter to waffle maker when it is preheated. Remove waffle when waffle maker when is done.
  • Recipe makes 4 waffles.
