PAPA ZA’S KITCHEN
It’s just about Thanksgiving and this turkey is the one! Best part is that you don’t even need a spice rack. Plus with this Super Simple Turkey recipe you don’t have to baste either and it’s quite possibly even juicier than you may be used to. Bold words I know but I’ll put my wing on the chopping block for this one.
Butter. Salt. Pepper. That’s it. Oh and the turkey of course, you’re gonna need one of those. The beauty of a super simple turkey recipe is that this bird is juicier than ever. And the skin is nice and crispy with a generous amount of buttery seasoning, gobble gobble indeed.
Super Simple Turkey Recipe

Servings: 1 Turkey
- Large Cooking Pan with Lid
- 1 15lb Turkey
- 1 cup Butter (softened)
- 3 tbsp Coarse salt
- 1 tbsp Black pepper
- Defrost and pat dry turkey. Remove giblets and neck. In large cooking pan, butter up the bird, inside and out. Season with salt and pepper. Bake @ 350° F. 13 minute per pound (15 lb. turkey will take approx. 3hr. 15min.). Remove from oven, ensure internal temperature is 165° F. and let rest covered 30-60 minutes.
- Carefully remove turkey from pan and place on cutting board. Carve off a few pieces of breast meat, and remove pone of the turkey legs. Remove meat from turkey leg and chop with breast meat. Set aside 2 cups of chopped turkey.
