Thin slices of beef donair packed full of savory flavors seared from being baked in the piping hot oven. And some freshness is added with chopped tomatoes and onions. But that donair sauce! Ingredients

TOPPINGS

  • 2 cups Beef Donair instructions below*
  • 2 cups Mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup Donair sauce instructions below*
  • 1 cup Tomatoes
  • ½ cup Onions

WILD DOUGH

  • 2 cups Sourdough starter active
  • 1 cup Bread flour
  • 1 tsp Salt

BEEF DONAIR*

  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 1 tsp Oregano
  • 1 tsp Flour
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • ½ tsp Thyme
  • ½ tsp Basil
  • ½ tsp Garlic powder
  • ½ tsp Onion powder
  • ½ tsp Pepper
  • ¼ tsp Cayenne pepper

DONAIR SAUCE*

  • 1 cup Evaporated milk
  • ¼ cup White sugar
  • 2 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp White vinegar

Instructions

Wild Dough (1 hour)

  • Make your dough by mixing the sourdough starter, flour and salt together (adding a bit of flour at a time until it takes shape but is still a little sticky) and knead the dough for 30 seconds.
  • Place the dough in lightly floured bowl and cover with a towel, set aside for 1 hour. (The pizza steel or stone needs to preheat for 1 hour as well, so preheat oven to 550°F after you finish making your pizza dough) *since you will be preheating the oven for the beef donair just up the heat to 550°F after the beef donair is done.

BEEF DONAIR

  • Preheat oven to 350°F
  • In large metal mixing bowl mix ground beef, oregano, flour, salt, thyme, basil, garlic powder, onion powder, pepper and cayenne pepper well.
  • Pick up the meat and throw it back into the bowl to blend it. Do this 20 times, kneading the meat once after each throw. Throw-Knead-Repeat.
  • Form a loaf and place it onto a parchment paper lined baking pan. Bake @350°F for 1 hour. Let the meat cool before slicing.

DONAIR SAUCE*

  • Whisk evaporated milk, sugar, garlic powder in medium bowl. Slowly add vinegar, whisking until desired consistency. Reserve 1 cup.

PIZZA

  • Grate mozzarella. Chop tomato and onions.
  • Preheat oven to 550 degrees F. with baking steel or pizza stone inside the oven for 1 hour.
  • Flour surface and roll out the dough. Put a floured pizza peel underneath the dough.
  • Add sauce, 1 ½ cups mozzarella, beef donair, another ½ cup mozzarella, then tomatoes and onions. Pat down the toppings before putting into the oven.
  • Bake pizza in the oven at 550°F for 8-10 minutes. Let cool 5 minutes then slice it up!

Sweet, sour and cheese can get a little dicey but we’re all in luck, not only does it work on this pizza, but this pizza will make you wanna work for it, it’s that darn good.

Sweet ain’t as sweet without the sour is what they say and I couldn’t agree more, philosophically and literally, the sweet and sour pork, seared veggies, mozzarella cheese and some extra sweet and sour sauce makes this a unique and unanimous favorite.

  • ½ lb Pork butt
  • 1 cup Cooking oil
  • 1 Egg white
  • 1 Green onion
  • ½ stalk Celery
  • ¼ Red pepper
  • ¼ Green pepper
  • ¼ White onion
  • ½ tsp Soy sauce
  • ¼ tsp Sugar
  • ¼ cup Cornstarch
  • 1 cup Pineapple tidbits with juice
  • 1 tbsp Cornstarch
  • ¾ cup Water
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Ketchup
  • 2 tbsp Apple cider vinegar
  • ½ tsp Soy sauce

Instructions

Wild Dough (1 hour)

  • Make your dough by mixing the sourdough starter, flour and salt together (adding a bit of flour at a time until it takes shape but is still a little sticky) and knead the dough for 30 seconds.
  • Place the dough in lightly floured bowl and cover with a towel, set aside for 1 hour. (The pizza steel or stone needs to preheat for 1 hour as well, so preheat oven to 550 degrees after you finish making your pizza dough)

SWEET AND SOUR PORK*

  • Dice celery and green onion. Cut red and green pepper, and white onion into 1" cubes.
  • Cut pork into 1" x ¼" slices, removing excess fat. Add pork slices to medium bowl, add 1/4 tsp. sugar, soy sauce, egg white and green onions. Mix well and marinate for 30 minutes, then add ¼ cup cornstarch, making sure to coat all the pork.
  • In wok, heat 1 cup of oil to medium heat. Add pork and cook 6-8 minutes or until golden brown both sides, stirring occasionally. Remove with a slotted spoon and let rest on a paper towel lined plate.
  • Carefully remove some excess oil from wok, until there is about ½ cup remaining. Add celery, white onion, red and green pepper, still cooking on medium heat for 6-8 minutes, or until cooked. Remove veggies and set aside.
  • Carefully remove excess oil from wok, until there is about 2 tbsp. remaining. Add pineapple tidbits with juice, water (only ½ cup), 2 tbsp. sugar, apple cider vinegar, ketchup, and soy sauce, bring to a boil. Mix cornstarch and cold water (only ¼ cup) and add to wok, mix until sauce thickens to desired consistency. Reserve 1 cup sauce. Add pork and veggies and mix well. Reserve 2 cups.

PIZZA (8-10 minutes)

  • Grate mozzarella.
  • Preheat oven to 550 degrees F. with baking steel or pizza stone inside the oven for 1 hour.
  • Flour surface and roll out the dough. Put a floured pizza peel underneath the dough. Add sauce, mozzarella, and sweet and sour pork. Pat down the toppings before putting into the oven.
  • Bake pizza in the oven at 550 degrees F. for 8-10 minutes. Let cool 5 minutes then slice it up!

White Cheddar Pesto Sauce*

  • Grate cheddar cheese.
  • Heat large pot to medium and melt butter, whisking constantly. Add flour and whisk 30 seconds. Add cream and whisk to mix well, then add white cheddar, salt and pepper.
  • Bring to a boil, then turn off the heat and let cool. Reserve 1 cup of cheese sauce for the pizza sauce. Use remaining cheese sauce for macaroni and cheese.

Macaroni and Cheese*

  • Bring water to a boil in a large pot, then add noodles. Bring to a boil and cook for 8-10 minutes. Drain. Add remaining cheese sauce and mix well. Reserve 2 cups of mac n cheese.

PIZZA (8-10 minutes)

  • Grate mozzarella.
  • Preheat oven to 550 degrees F. with baking steel or pizza stone inside the oven for 1 hour.

Holy heck, this Chicken Carbonara Pizza with Bacon Recipe is rockin’ and there’s more, but I think you already know… it’s loaded with bacon.Chicken Carbonara with Bacon Pizza Recipe Pancetta may be a more common option for a Carbonara but bacon is the star tonight. Bacon. Tied together with that classic carbonara sauce.

All Carbonara’s have pork, but we snuck in some chicken as well, something about chicken and bacon that makes life a little better. Chicken Carbonara Pizza with Bacon

  • 4 Chicken thighs boneless, skinless
  • 6 strips Bacon
  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 1 cup Parmesan Cheese
  • ½ tsp Pepper
  • 1 tbsp Oil

Instructions

WILD DOUGH (1 hour)

  • Make your dough by mixing the sourdough starter, flour and salt together (adding a bit of flour at a time until it takes shape but is still a little sticky) and knead the dough for about 30 seconds.
  • Place the dough in lightly floured bowl and cover with a towel, set aside for 1 hour. (The pizza steel or stone needs to preheat for 1 hour as well, so preheat oven to 550°F after you finish making your pizza dough)

CHICKEN CARBONARA

  • Bake bacon in oven on parchment paper lined baking pan at 420 degrees F. for 15 minutes, then flip. Cook bacon an additional 5 minutes, or until cooked (make sure not to overcook it because it will be cooking in the oven for an additional 10 minutes on the pizza). Remove bacon and drain on paper towel lined plate. Let cool, then chop into bite sized pieces, reserve 1 cup.
  • Place chicken on plate. Add tbsp. of oil, salt and pepper, coating both sides of the chicken. Pan roast chicken on medium-high heat 6-8 minutes each side, or until no longer pink inside. Remove from pan, let cool, then chop into bite sized pieces, reserve 2 cups.
  • In a large bowl whisk eggs. Add parmesan cheese, pepper, garlic, chicken and bacon, mix well.

PIZZA

  • Preheat oven to 550°F with baking steel or pizza stone inside the oven for 1 hour.
  • Grate mozzarella cheese. Chop parsley.
  • Flour surface and roll out the dough. Put a floured pizza peel underneath the dough.
  • Add chicken carbonara and mozzarella cheese. Pat down the toppings before putting into the oven.
  • Bake pizza at 550 degrees F. for 8-10 minutes, by sliding pizza onto baking steel with pizza peel.
  • Remove pizza from oven with pizza peel. Let cool for 5 minutes. Top with parsley and slice it up!

Instructions

Wild Dough (1 hour)

  • Make your dough by mixing the sourdough starter, flour and salt together (adding a bit of flour at a time until it takes shape but is still a little sticky) and knead the dough for about 30 seconds.
  • Place the dough in lightly floured bowl and cover with a towel, set aside for 1 hour. (The pizza steel or stone needs to preheat for 1 hour as well, so preheat oven to 550°F after you finish making your pizza dough)

PIZZA (8-10 minutes)

  • Preheat oven to 550°F with baking steel or pizza stone inside the oven for 1 hour.
  • Grate mozzarella cheese.
  • Open can of beans and split evenly into two bowls.
  • Slice four hot dogs into ¼" rounds.
  • Flour surface and roll out the dough. Put a floured pizza peel underneath the dough.
  • Spread one bowl of beans (½ can), then add mozzarella cheese, hot dogs, and the second bowl of beans (½ can). Pat down the toppings before putting into the oven.
  • Bake pizza in the oven at 550 degrees F. for 8-10 minutes.
  • Remove pizza from oven with pizza peel. Let cool for 5 minutes.
  • Slice it up!

Poutine Pizza Recipe

Now this was a bit of a sleeper, but wake up, because this poutine pizza recipe will knock your cozy Poutine Pizza Recipesocks right off! You can put your socks back on of course, but don’t take too long or this gravy goodness will be long gone. A beautiful poutine gravy with chicken and beef stock, fresh medium cut fries, baked twice.

And hey wait a darn minute, I can’t forget to talk about the most delicious cheddar cheese curds, also known as, squeak’rs! These little cheese balls tie this whole thing together, plus we added some extra mozza for good measure. Most people have had a chance to chow down on a bowl of poutine, but how many have tried it on a pizza?

Ingredients

TOPPINGS

  • 2 cups Fries instructions below*
  • 2 cups Cheddar cheese curds
  • 2 cups Mozzarella cheese grated
  • cup Poutine gravy instructions below*

WILD PIZZA DOUGH

  • 2 cups Sourdough starter active
  • 1 cup Bread flour
  • 1 tsp Salt

FRIES*

  • 3 large Potatoes
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • ½ tsp Pepper

GRAVY*

  • ½ cup Chicken broth
  • ½ cup Beef broth
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 2 tbsp Flour
  • ½ tsp Pepper

Instructions

WILD PIZZA DOUGH (1 hour)

  • Make your dough by mixing the sourdough starter, bread flour (adding a bit of flour at a time until it takes shape but is still a little sticky) and salt together. Knead the dough for 30 seconds, flour lightly as needed.
  • Place the wild dough in a lightly floured bowl and cover with a towel, set aside for 1 hour. (The pizza steel or stone needs to preheat for 1 hour as well, so preheat oven to 550°F after you finish making your pizza dough).

FRIES*

  • Preheat oven to 400°F.
  • Peel, rinse and slice potatoes into medium cut fries. Soak potatoes in a large bowl with cold water for 30 minutes, then strain, rinse and dry.
  • Place potatoes onto a parchment paper lined baking pan. Add oil, salt and pepper and mix well. Bake for 1 hour @ 400°F turning the fries once, halfway through. Remove from oven and reserve 2 cups of fries.

GRAVY*

  • On medium heat melt butter in large saucepan, careful not to burn. Add flour and whisk furiously for 30 seconds, still being careful not to burn. Add beef, chicken broth and pepper and whisk until smooth, cook until desired consistency. Remove from heat, let cool slightly and reserve 2 x ¾ cup of gravy.

PIZZA

  • Preheat oven to 550 degrees F° with baking steel or pizza stone inside the oven for 1 hour. (Since the oven is preheated from cooking the fries, just preheat until oven is 550°F)
  • Grate mozzarella cheese.
  • Flour surface and roll out the dough, flour lightly as needed. Put a floured pizza peel underneath the dough.
  • Add 1 x ¾ cup gravy, then mozzarella cheese, then fries and then cheese curds. Pat down toppings.
  • Bake pizza in the oven at 550° F. for 8-10 minutes.
  • Remove pizza from oven with pizza peel and let cool for 5 minutes. Top with remaining 1 x ¾ cup gravy. Slice it up!
