This week’s Weird Wild Pizza
Horseradish Roast Beef Pizza
Possibly the best thing you can put on beef other than more beef is the one and only horseradish, it does a wonderful thing when it partners up with some good old fashioned roast beef! Watch that beef ride the horseradish on this Wild “Horseradish Roast Beef Pizza”.
The only amount of horseradish that we feel is acceptable, is maybe a little too much, but we’re firm believers in making sure you don’t only get a mouth full of perfect roast beef but you get a little kick right in the face from the horseradish.
Yee-haw!
OUR MAGICAL WILD PIZZA DOUGH
All Weird & Wild Pizza’s are made with naturally occurring wild yeast to produce a healthier gluten option, and if you don’t care about that, it’s all good because it still delivers amazing taste.

- 2 cups Roast Beef instructions below
- 2 cups Mozzarella Cheese
- ½ cup Roasted Onion
SAUCE
- 1 cup Horseradish Sauce instructions below
WILD DOUGH
- 2 cups Sourdough Starter active
- 1 cup Bread Flour
- 1 tsp Salt
Roast Beef
- 1 lb Beef Roast
- 1 Onion quartered
- 2 cloves Garlic peeled
- 2 Bay Leaves
- 1 cup Beef Broth
- 1 tsp Salt
- ½ tsp Pepper
Sauce
- ½ cup Mayo
- ⅓ cup Horseradish
- ¼ cup Dijon Mustard
- 1 head Garlic roasted
- 1 tsp Salt
- ½ tsp Pepper
Instructions
WILD DOUGH (1 hour)
- Make your dough by mixing the sourdough starter, flour and salt together (adding a bit of flour at a time until it takes shape but is still a little sticky) and knead the dough for about 30 seconds.
- Place the dough in lightly floured bowl and cover with a towel, set aside for 1 hour. (The pizza steel or stone needs to preheat for 1 hour as well, so preheat oven to 550 degrees after you finish making your pizza dough)
Roast Beef
- Quarter beef and onion, and peel 2 cloves of garlic. Add beef, onion, garlic, bay leaves, beef broth, salt and pepper to Instapot and cook on "pressure cook" setting, for 1 hour.
- Remove beef from Instapot, let cool then shred, set aside.
Sauce
- Peel and quarter onion, slice off the top of the garlic and place on parchment paper lined baking sheet. Drizzle with oil, salt and pepper. Bake at 420 degrees F. for 30-45 minutes. Chop onions and set aside for pizza. Squish garlic out of skin and chop, reserve for sauce.
- Mix together mayo, horseradish, mustard, roasted garlic, salt and pepper.
PIZZA
- Preheat oven to 550 degrees F. with baking steel or pizza stone inside the oven for 1 hour.
- Grate mozzarella cheese.
- Flour surface and roll out the dough. Put a floured pizza peel underneath the dough. Add sauce, cheese, and toppings. Pat down the toppings before putting into the oven.
- Bake pizza in the oven at 550 °F for 8-10 minutes.
- Remove pizza from oven with pizza peel and let cool for 5 minutes.
