A “Classic Spam Pizza” recipe, how can it be a classic if you’ve never Classic Spam Pizza Recipeheard of it? That’s a good point, and luckily I do have an answer for you. It’s a classic spam pizza because Papa Za took the classic elements you would find on a traditional spam sandwich, tomatoes, onions and cheese, and made it even better by bringing it all together on an amazing pizza.

The spam pizza is a special treat with each piece of pizza having it’s very own, cast iron pan-fried slice of spectacular spam. If you’re not a spam fan, I would still give it a go, you might like it, I mean, stranger things have happened.

Spam Pizza

Our pizza is weird and our dough is wild, made from all-natural sourdough starter.

Ingredients

TOPPINGS

  • 1 can Spam
  • 2 cups Mozzarella Cheese shredded
  • 2 Tomatoes sliced
  • ½ Onion sliced

SAUCE

  • 1 cup Tomato Sauce

WILD DOUGH

  • 2 cups Sourdough Starter active
  • 1 cup Bread Flour
  • 1 tsp Salt

Instructions

Wild Dough (1 hour)

  • Make your dough by mixing the sourdough starter, flour and salt together (adding a bit of flour at a time until it takes shape but is still a little sticky) and knead the dough for about 30 seconds.
  • Place the dough in lightly floured bowl and cover with a towel, set aside for 1 hour. (The pizza steel or stone needs to preheat for 1 hour as well, so preheat oven to 550 degrees after you finish making your pizza dough)

PIZZA (8-10 minutes)

  • Slice spam into eighths. Slice onion and tomatoes. Grate mozzarella.
  • Preheat oven to 550 degrees F. with baking steel or pizza stone inside the oven for 1 hour.
  • Flour surface and roll out the dough. Put a floured pizza peel underneath the dough.
  • Add sauce, cheese, and toppings. Pat down the toppings before putting into the oven.
  • Bake pizza in the oven at 550 degrees F. for 8-10 minutes.
  • Remove pizza from oven with pizza peel and let cool for 5 minutes.

  • 2 cups Macaroni Noodles
  • 4 cups Cheddar Cheese Sauce

Cheddar Cheese Sauce**

  • 4 cups Cheddar Cheese shredded
  • 2 cups Cream
  • ¼ cup Butter
  • 1 tbsp Flour
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • ½ tsp Pepper

Instructions

Wild Dough (1 hour)

  • Make your dough by mixing the sourdough starter, flour and salt together (adding a bit of flour at a time until it takes shape but is still a little sticky) and knead the dough for about 30 seconds.
  • Place the dough in lightly floured bowl and cover with a towel, set aside for 1 hour. (The pizza steel or stone needs to preheat for 1 hour as well, so preheat oven to 550 degrees after you finish making your pizza dough)

Cheddar Cheese Sauce**

  • Grate cheddar cheese.
  • Heat large pot to medium and melt butter, whisking constantly. Add flour and whisk 30 seconds. Add cream and whisk to mix well, then add cheddar cheese, salt and pepper.
  • Bring to a boil, then turn off the heat and let cool. Reserve 1 cup of cheese sauce for the pizza sauce. Use remaining cheese sauce for macaroni and cheese.

Macaroni and Cheese*

  • Bring water to a boil in a large pot, then add noodles. Bring to a boil and cook for 8-10 minutes. Drain. Add remaining cheese sauce and mix well.

PIZZA (8-10 minutes)

  • Grate mozzarella.
  • Preheat oven to 550 degrees F. with baking steel or pizza stone inside the oven for 1 hour.
  • Flour surface and roll out the dough. Put a floured pizza peel underneath the dough. Add sauce, cheese, and toppings. Pat down the toppings before putting into the oven.
  • Bake pizza in the oven at 550 degrees F. for 8-10 minutes.
  • Remove pizza from oven with pizza peel and let cool for 5 minutes.

Instructions

Wild Dough (1 hour)

  • Make your dough by mixing the sourdough starter, flour and salt together (adding a bit of flour at a time until it takes shape but is still a little sticky) and knead the dough for about 30 seconds.
  • Place the dough in lightly floured bowl and cover with a towel, set aside for 1 hour. (The pizza steel or stone needs to preheat for 1 hour as well, so preheat oven to 550 degrees after you finish making your pizza dough)

Prosciutto wrapped Apples (5 min.)

  • Cut apple into thin slices. Cut prosciutto in half, lengthwise. Wrap apples slices with prosciutto for a total of 16 prosciutto wrapped apples.

Balsamic Aioli (45 min.)

  • Cut top off of garlic and discard top, then add oil, salt and pepper to garlic. Bake in oven at 420 degrees F° for 30-40 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool, then squeeze out the roasted garlic cloves (remove any garlic peel) chop, and set aside roasted garlic.
  • Mix together mayonnaise, balsamic vinegar, roasted garlic, salt and peeper, then set aside.

Balsamic Reduction (10-15 min.)

  • Over medium heat bring bring balsamic vinegar to boil, reduce heat to med-low and cook until desired consistency, remove from stove and let cool slightly, then carefully pour into a microwavable container. Set aside.

PIZZA (8-10 minutes)

  • Preheat oven to 550 degrees F. with baking steel or pizza stone inside the oven for 1 hour.
  • Cut brie into thin strips, then cut strips into thirds, removing excess rind. Grate mozzarella.
  • Flour surface and roll out the dough. Put a floured pizza peel underneath the dough. Add sauce, cheese, and toppings. Pat down the toppings before putting into the oven.
  • Bake pizza in the oven at 550 degrees F. for 8-10 minutes.
  • Remove pizza from oven with pizza peel and let cool for 5 minutes.
  • Drizzle balsamic reduction over pizza (if the balsamic reduction is too thick, microwave it for 10-15 seconds).

Possibly the best thing you can put on beef other than more beef is the one and only horseradish, it does a wonderful thing when it partners up with some good old fashioned roast beef! Watch that beef ride the horseradish on this Wild “Horseradish Roast Beef Pizza”.

The only amount of horseradish that we feel is acceptable, is maybe a little too much, but we’re firm believers in making sure you don’t only get a mouth full of perfect roast beef but you get a little kick right in the face  from the horseradish.

  • ½ cup Mayo
  • cup Horseradish
  • ¼ cup Dijon Mustard
  • 1 whole Roasted Garlic
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • ½ tsp Pepper

Instructions

WILD DOUGH (1 hour)

  • Make your dough by mixing the sourdough starter, flour and salt together (adding a bit of flour at a time until it takes shape but is still a little sticky) and knead the dough for about 30 seconds.
  • Place the dough in lightly floured bowl and cover with a towel, set aside for 1 hour. (The pizza steel or stone needs to preheat for 1 hour as well, so preheat oven to 550 degrees after you finish making your pizza dough)

Roast Beef (1½ hours)

  • Quarter beef and onion, and peel garlic. Add beef, onion, garlic, bay leaves, beef broth, salt and pepper to Instapot and cook on "pressure cook" setting, for 1 hour.
  • Remove beef from Instapot and shred, set aside.

Sauce (1 min)

  • Peel and quarter onion, peel garlic and bake on parchment paper lined baking sheet at 420 degrees F. for 30-45 minutes.
    Chop onions and set aside for pizza, chop garlic and reserve for sauce.
  • Mix together mayo, horseradish, mustard, roasted garlic, salt and pepper.

PIZZA (8-10 min)

  • Preheat oven to 550 degrees F. with baking steel or pizza stone inside the oven for 1 hour.
  • Grate mozzarella cheese.
  • Flour surface and roll out the dough. Put a floured pizza peel underneath the dough. Add sauce, cheese, and toppings. Pat down the toppings before putting into the oven.
  • Bake pizza in the oven at 550 degrees F. for 8-10 minutes.

How many times have you been eating Eggs Benny and thought….this should be on a pizza! If the answer is zero that’s OK, it’s what I’m here for.  This Eggs Benedict Pizza Recipe has all the classic Eggs Benedict Pizzaingredients of an Eggs Benny, and we didn’t hold back on the eggs either, a total of eight eggs were used in this breakfast pizza creation.

This pizza has four egg yolks in the sauce, some fresh lemon and melted butter. And another four eggs cooked right on top of the pizza.  But be careful when you put the eggs on top, they have a tendency to wanna roll right off the pizza. Before we get to the eggs you can’t forget about the labor intensive hollandaise sauce, that sauce is one of the neediest sauces out there, it needs a lot of attention and love, so good luck!

Wild dough, hollandaise sauce, back bacon, mozzarella cheese, baked eggs, more hollandaise sauce, and a pinch of paprika is how we make this pizza a classic representation of a weekend breakfast table favorite.

Hollandaise Sauce

  • 4 Egg Yolks
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice fresh
  • ½ cup Butter melted

Instructions

WILD DOUGH (1 hour)

  • Make your dough by mixing the sourdough starter, flour and salt together (adding a bit of flour at a time until it takes shape but is still a little sticky) and knead the dough for about 30 seconds.
  • Place the dough in lightly floured bowl and cover with a towel, set aside for 1 hour. (The pizza steel or stone needs to preheat for 1 hour as well, so preheat oven to 550 degrees after you finish making your pizza dough)

SAUCE (30 min)

  • Separate egg yolks. Freshly squeeze 1 tbsp of lemon juice. Whisk yolks and lemon juice together in a glass bowl.
  • In a pot add a little water and heat to medium. Double broil the glass bowl on the pot and constantly stir the sauce, slowly adding the butter. Whisk until desired thickness.

PIZZA (8-10 min)

  • Preheat oven to 550 degrees F. with baking steel or pizza stone inside the oven for 1 hour.
  • Grate mozzarella cheese.

The Weird & Wild “Chili Cheese Dog Pizza” is the best thing on planet earth. It’s to simple to be pretentious and too awesome to be ignored! A thick layer of homemade beef chili, two types of cheese smothered on top, and of course, the king of the pizza, oven roasted hot dogs. This pizza makes sure everyone gets in on the action by giving each participant their very own lengthwise half slice of a toasty wiener.

So far this is Papa Za’s reigning champion, an out of this world combination of the basics, pizza, chili, cheese, hot dogs (you know you love them). Will there be a contender that will knock the chili cheese dog pizza back to earth, you tell me, these flavors are hard to beat.

Ingredients

Toppings

  • 4 Hot Dogs
  • 1 cup Mozzarella Cheese
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese

Sauce

  • cup Beef Chili

Wild Dough

  • 2 cup Sourdough Starter active
  • 1 cup Bread Flour
  • 1 tsp Salt

Beef Chili

  • 2 lbs Ground Beef
  • 2 Garlic Cloves diced
  • 2 Limes
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 1 Onion diced
  • 1 Jalapeno diced and seeded
  • 1 can Red Kidney Beans rinsed and drained
  • 1 cup Beef Broth
  • 1 can Tomatoes diced
  • 2 tbsp Chili Powder
  • 1 tbsp Honey
  • 1 tsp Cumin ground
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1 tsp Oregano dried
  • 1 tsp Cilantro dried
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • ½ tsp Cayenne
  • ½ tsp Pepper

Instructions

Beef Chili

  • In large pot or wok, cook onion on med-high heat for 3 minutes. Add beef and brown. Add garlic and spices, cook for 5 minutes.
  • Add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil, reduce heat to low and cook for 1 hour (or until desired consistency), uncovered. Remove from heat.

Pizza

  • Preheat oven to 550 degrees with baking steel or pizza stone inside the oven for 1 hour.
  • Make your dough by mixing the sourdough starter, flour and salt together (adding a bit of flour at a time until it takes shape but is still a little sticky) and knead the dough for about 1 minute .
    Place the dough in lightly floured bowl and cover with a towel, set aside for 1 hour.
  • Flour surface and roll out the dough. Put a floured pizza peel under the dough.
  • Grate mozzarella and cheddar cheese.
  • Spread the beef chili on the pizza dough, add cheese and hot dogs (sliced lengthwise).
    Pat down the toppings before putting into the oven.
  • Bake pizza in the oven at 550 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
  • Remove pizza from oven and let cool for 5 minutes.
