But it surely will go down in history. This pizza will make you wanna be the first one to the breakfast table because you might want three of these, like right off the bat, and people might look at you funny if you start with three… I sure as heck will not.  But I don’t know the company you keep, just lookin’ out for you, I got your back.

The most obvious reason to shove this into your mouth is the delicious pan-seared cubes of spam. With a little love from a cast iron pan and a drizzle of oil, spam can go from pretty good to freakin’ amazin’. But what makes this extra special is not one but two sunny side up eggs cooked to perfection, right on top of this breakfast “how do ya do”.

Spam and Eggs Pizza

Ingredients

TOPPINGS

  • 1 can Spam
  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 cups Mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup Tomato sauce

WILD DOUGH

  • 2 cups Sourdough starter active
  • 1 cup Bread flour
  • 1 tsp Salt

Instructions

Wild Dough (1 hour)

  • Make your dough by mixing the sourdough starter, flour and salt together (adding a bit of flour at a time until it takes shape but is still a little sticky) and knead the dough for about 30 seconds.
  • Place the dough in lightly floured bowl and cover with a towel, set aside for 1 hour. (The pizza steel or stone needs to preheat for 1 hour as well, so preheat oven to 550 degrees after you finish making your pizza dough)

PIZZA (8-10 minutes)

  • Remove spam for can and dice into 1 cm cubes. In large frying pan cook spam cubes on medium heat until seared on all sides, approx. 5 minutes. Remove from heat, add spam to bowl and set aside.
  • Grate mozzarella.
  • Crack eggs separately into two little bowls. Make sure not to brake them.
  • Preheat oven to 550 degrees F. with baking steel or pizza stone inside the oven for 1 hour.
  • Flour surface and roll out the dough. Put a floured pizza peel underneath the dough. Add sauce, cheese, and spam. Pat down the toppings before putting into the oven. Very carefully add eggs to the center of the pizza after you put it into the oven. Don't burn yourself!
  • Bake pizza in the oven at 550 degrees F. for 8-10 minutes. Let cool 5 minutes, then slice the eggs and spread the yolks around the pizza the best you can and then slice it up!

This is our fourth official pizza challenge with many more to follow, brought to you by Weird Wild Corn Pizza RecipePizza, and frantically made by Papa Za. Today the challenger is “leftovermagic”! And the pizza challenge is a “Corn Pizza”

You heard correctly. A corn pizza recipe is this week’s pizza challenge. Who doesn’t love a good ol’ corn on the cob smothered in butter and salt? Well this is not that but we tried to get close. Lots of corny goodness and don’t worry, we didn’t forget the butter.

Not only is this a corn pizza but it’s a triple threat, with a butter cream corn as the base, corn kernels and baby corn. Plus mozzarella and parmesan cheese topped with fresh basil. This pizza is weird, and so it should be, the only question I have for you is, “how much do you like corn?” If you have a pizza challenge, well, challenge us, what are you waiting for?!   • 2 cups Mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese petals
  • 1 cup Baby corn
  • 1 cup Buttered creamed corn *instructions below
  • 1 cup Corn kernels
  • 1 cup Fresh basil chopped
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

WILD PIZZA DOUGH

  • 2 cups Sourdough starter
  • 1 cup Bread flour
  • 1 tsp Salt

Buttered Creamed Corn

  • 1 can Creamed corn
  • 1 tbsp Butter melted
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • ½ tsp Pepper

Instructions

WILD PIZZA DOUGH (1 hour)

  • Make your dough by mixing the sourdough starter, bread flour (adding a bit of flour at a time until it takes shape but is still a little sticky) and salt together. Knead the dough for 30 seconds, flour lightly as needed.
  • Place the wild dough in a lightly floured bowl and cover with a towel, set aside for 1 hour. (The pizza steel or stone needs to preheat for 1 hour as well, so preheat oven to 550°F after you finish making your pizza dough).

PIZZA

  • Preheat oven to 550 degrees F° with baking steel or pizza stone inside the oven for 1 hour.
  • Grate mozzarella cheese.
  • Mix melted butter, cream corn, salt and pepper, then reserve 1 cup for pizza sauce.
  • Flour surface and roll out the dough, flour lightly as needed. Put a floured pizza peel underneath the dough.
  • Add buttered cream corn as sauce. Then add mozzarella cheese, followed by corn kernels, baby corn and parmesan cheese. Pat down toppings.
  • Bake pizza in the oven at 550° F. for 8-10 minutes.
  • Remove pizza from oven with pizza peel and let cool for 5 minutes. Top with fresh basil. Slice it up!

Now this was a bit of a sleeper, but wake up, because this poutine pizza recipe will knock your cozy Poutine Pizza Recipesocks right off! You can put your socks back on of course, but don’t take too long or this gravy goodness will be long gone. A beautiful poutine gravy with chicken and beef stock, fresh medium cut fries, baked twice.

And hey wait a darn minute, I can’t forget to talk about the most delicious cheddar cheese curds, also known as, squeak’rs! These little cheese balls tie this whole thing together, plus we added some extra mozza for good measure. Most people have had a chance to chow down on a bowl of poutine, but how many have tried it on a pizza?

WILD PIZZA DOUGH

FRIES*

  • 3 large Potatoes
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • ½ tsp Pepper

GRAVY*

  • ½ cup Chicken broth
  • ½ cup Beef broth
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 2 tbsp Flour
  • ½ tsp Pepper

Instructions

WILD PIZZA DOUGH (1 hour)

  • Make your dough by mixing the sourdough starter, bread flour (adding a bit of flour at a time until it takes shape but is still a little sticky) and salt together. Knead the dough for 30 seconds, flour lightly as needed.
  • Place the wild dough in a lightly floured bowl and cover with a towel, set aside for 1 hour. (The pizza steel or stone needs to preheat for 1 hour as well, so preheat oven to 550°F after you finish making your pizza dough).

FRIES*

  • Preheat oven to 400°F.
  • Peel, rinse and slice potatoes into medium cut fries. Soak potatoes in a large bowl with cold water for 30 minutes, then strain, rinse and dry.
  • Place potatoes onto a parchment paper lined baking pan. Add oil, salt and pepper and mix well. Bake for 1 hour @ 400°F turning the fries once, halfway through. Remove from oven and reserve 2 cups of fries.

GRAVY*

  • On medium heat melt butter in large saucepan, careful not to burn. Add flour and whisk furiously for 30 seconds, still being careful not to burn. Add beef, chicken broth and pepper and whisk until smooth, cook until desired consistency. Remove from heat, let cool slightly and reserve 2 x ¾ cup of gravy.

PIZZA

  • Preheat oven to 550 degrees F° with baking steel or pizza stone inside the oven for 1 hour. (Since the oven is preheated from cooking the fries, just preheat until oven is 550°F)
  • Grate mozzarella cheese.
  • Flour surface and roll out the dough, flour lightly as needed. Put a floured pizza peel underneath the dough.
  • Add 1 x ¾ cup gravy, then mozzarella cheese, then fries and then cheese curds. Pat down toppings.
  • Bake pizza in the oven at 550° F. for 8-10 minutes.
  • Remove pizza from oven with pizza peel and let cool for 5 minutes. Top with remaining 1 x ¾ cup gravy. Slice it up!

What this Chicken Alfredo lacks in noodles it makes up for in pizza. This Chicken Alfredo Pizza Chicken Alfredo Pizza RecipeRecipe is so good you wont even miss the noodles. Chicken alfredo sauce works so well as a pizza sauce it’s ridiculous. Fresh parsley really lightens up the joint, but don’t let the green fool ya, its one of the more comforting pizza we have made.

Instructions

WILD PIZZA DOUGH (1 hour)

  • Make your dough by mixing the sourdough starter, bread flour (adding a bit of flour at a time until it takes shape but is still a little sticky) and salt together. Knead the dough for 30 seconds, flour lightly as needed.

CHICKEN ALFREDO

  • Chop garlic, set aside. Chop parsley, set aside.
  • Melt butter in large sauce pan on low heat. Add cream and simmer for 5 minutes. Add garlic and parmesan cheese and mix well. Turn off heat and add parsley, whisk until smooth.
  • Set aside 1 cup of alfredo sauce and leave remaining sauce in the saucepan covered with a lid.
  • Slice chicken. Heat cast iron pan to medium heat, then add oil and chicken. Cook for 10-15 minutes (or until no longer pink inside) stirring often. When chicken is cooked, add a 1/4 cup of water to deglaze the pan, using a wooden spoon to scrape the bottom of the pan, getting all the tasty bits of seared chicken.
  • Remove chicken from pan and add to saucepan with remaining alfredo sauce. Mix well. Set aside 2 cups of chicken alfredo.

PIZZA

  • Preheat oven to 550 degrees F° with baking steel or pizza stone inside the oven for 1 hour.
  • Grate mozzarella cheese.
  • Flour surface and roll out the dough, flour lightly as needed. Put a floured pizza peel underneath the dough.
  • Add 1 cup alfredo sauce, then 2 cups mozzarella cheese, and then 2 cups chicken alfredo. Pat down the toppings before putting into the oven.
  • Bake pizza in the oven at 550° F. for 8-10 minutes.
  • Remove pizza from oven and let cool for 5 minutes. Slice it up!

Cast iron is the way to go with this Chicken Fajita Pizza Recipe! But don’t be afraid to use whatever pan you have, it’ll still be great. That said, if you got a cast iron pan at home, now is the time to use it. Because you get this beautiful sear that most other pans will not give, so treat yourself and your pan right and you get a little something extra special.

Pan seared onions and bell peppers with a heavily seasoned kick of some satisfying slices of chicken, fajita-style. Plus lots of smoky chili flavor with the love of a cast iron pan and that A1 sauce zing. It doesn’t hit much closer to home than this one does. OH YEAH!

Ingredients

TOPPINGS

  • 2 cups Chicken Fajita mix instructions below
  • 2 cups Mozzarella cheese
  • ¾ cup A1 Sauce

WILD PIZZA DOUGH

  • 2 cups Sourdough Starter active
  • 1 cup Bread flour
  • 1 tsp Salt

Chicken Fajita

  • 4 pieces Chicken thighs skinless, boneless
  • ½ Onion
  • ½ Lime
  • ½ Green pepper
  • ¼ Red pepper
  • ¼ Orange pepper
  • ¼ Yellow Pepper
  • 1 tbsp Chile powder
  • 1 tsp Onion powder
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • 1 tsp Cilantro dried
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • ¼ tsp Pepper

Instructions

WILD PIZZA DOUGH (1 hour)

  • Make your dough by mixing the sourdough starter, bread flour (adding a bit of flour at a time until it takes shape but is still a little sticky) and salt together. Knead the dough for 30 seconds, flour lightly as needed.
  • Place the wild dough in a lightly floured bowl and cover with a towel, set aside for 1 hour. (The pizza steel or stone needs to preheat for 1 hour as well, so preheat oven to 550 degrees F° after you finish making your pizza dough).

CHICKEN FAJITA

  • Slice onion, peppers and chicken, put chicken into separate bowl. Mix together onion powder, chile powder, paprika, cumin, cilantro, salt and pepper. Add spice mix to chicken and mix well.
  • Heat cast iron pan to medium heat, add oil, then add onion and peppers. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring often. Remove veggie mix from pan.
  • Add oil to pan, then add chicken. Cook chicken for 10 minutes (or until no longer pink inside) stirring often. Add veggie mix to chicken, squeeze half a lime into pan and mix well, turn off heat. Remove chicken fajita mix from pan and set aside 2 cups for pizza.

PIZZA

  • Preheat oven to 550 degrees F° with baking steel or pizza stone inside the oven for 1 hour.
  • Grate mozzarella cheese.
  • Flour surface and roll out the dough, flour lightly as needed. Put a floured pizza peel underneath the dough.
  • Add A1 Sauce, mozzarella cheese and chicken fajita mix. Pat down the toppings before putting into the oven.
  • Bake pizza in the oven at 550° F. for 8-10 minutes.
  • Remove pizza from oven and let cool for 5+ minutes. Add lettuce and tomatoes. Slice it up!
